What are your working hours?
Sessions are available Friday through Monday, from 2:00pm to 9:00pm. All bookings are scheduled within these timeframes.
How do I book a session?
Booking starts with a discovery call, which is held online via Zoom. After your call, we’ll arrange a suitable session time over email.
Can I just book a session directly or by phone?
No, all new clients must attend an online discovery call via Zoom before scheduling a session. Phone consultations or bookings are not available.
Where do sessions take place?
In-person sessions are held at The Practice Rooms in Islington, located on Caledonian Road near King’s Cross. If you prefer, all services are also available online.
Who can attend your sessions?
Everyone is welcome—regardless of sex, gender identity, experience, or background. Our space is inclusive, safe, trauma-informed, and fully insured.
What does a normal session look like?
A typical session at Somatic Reality is client-led and tailored to your unique needs, comfort, and goals. Here’s what you can generally expect:
Arrival & Welcome
You’ll be welcomed either in person (at The Practice Rooms in Islington) or online via Zoom. We’ll take a few minutes to settle in, clarify session intentions, and address any questions.Check-In & Agreements
We'll begin with a short check-in to discuss how you’re feeling, any updates, and your hopes for the session. We’ll re-confirm boundaries, consent, and preferences to ensure you feel safe and respected.Guided Practice
Depending on the service you’ve booked, the main portion may include:Breathwork, mindful movement, or somatic awareness exercises
Sensory exploration, touch-based practices, or hands-on guidance (when appropriate)
Embodied inquiry, emotional processing, or movement and visualization techniques
Space for feedback and collaborative adjustments at every step
Integration & Closing
Each session ends with gentle grounding, integration exercises, and time to reflect on your experience. We’ll review takeaways, answer any questions, and discuss steps for ongoing support.Follow-Up
You’re encouraged to share reflections or questions after the session by email, and to schedule further sessions or integration support as needed.
Every session is unique, always paced to your comfort and readiness, with ongoing attention to creating a safe, inclusive, and non-judgmental environment. Whether in person or online, the goal is that you leave feeling more connected, resourced, and at ease in your body.
What is your payment policy?
Payment for your session is required upon booking. You’ll receive an invoice after your time is confirmed. Payments are accepted via invoice or bank transfer. Cash payments on the day are only allowed in special circumstances.
What is your cancellation policy?
If you cancel more than 24 hours before your session, you will receive a full refund.
If you cancel less than 24 hours before your session, refunds are not available.
Can I reschedule my appointment?
You may reschedule without penalty more than 24 hours before your session.
If you reschedule less than 24 hours before your session, a £30 rebooking fee applies to cover the room rental cost.
Do you offer refunds if I didn’t like my experience?
No, refunds are not offered if you feel the service did not meet your expectations. Each session is client-led and experiences are unique and valid—there is no “bad” session.
I have never done this before/I don’t have experience. Can I come?
Absolutely! All levels of experience are welcome, from complete beginners to those with extensive practice. You’ll be guided with care and respect.
Is this a safe and trauma-informed space?
Yes, your safety and well-being are our highest priorities. The practice is trauma-informed, inclusive, and insured, offering a space where all identities and experiences are respected.
Can I attend sessions online?
Yes, all services can be accessed online via Zoom for your comfort and convenience.
